Aurora is an AI agent that calls real businesses on your behalf — asking the right questions, confirming prices and availability, and bringing back answers backed by a replayable recording.
You ask in plain English, add what matters — budget, timing, location — and Aurora dials the shops, kitchens, and front desks. Here’s how it all fits together.
Google indexed the internet. The offline economy — restaurants, clinics, manufacturers, trucks, salons, shops — is roughly 10× larger, and almost none of it is on the web. Offline retail alone is 5× online in the US; add services and B2B, globally, and the gap widens to about ten times the entire internet economy.
Most of these businesses don’t have clean websites. Hours, inventory, prices, capacity — the truth lives on a phone line, not a webpage. But every shop, clinic, supplier, and transporter answers calls. Voice is the universal API, and we’re building the gateway: the world’s biggest market, finally searchable.
Before, a procurement teammate could call five vendors to find the best MacBook quote. Now Aurora calls hundreds. Before, you dialed three restaurants on a Friday night and gave up. Aurora dials every one in range. We do the calls, the emails, the website checks — every step you would, only at the speed and scale of software.
Aurora is the product of AuroraX Inc., founded by Mehul Nath Jindal (CEO) and Shyam Murugan (CTO) — building together since freshman year. Their last company, BharatX(Y Combinator W22), scaled 47× across six quarters to $100K+ in daily disbursals and was sold to the Flipkart Group.
Along the way: Lightspeed Extreme Entrepreneurs (2021), Forbes 30 Under 30 India (2022) and Asia (2023). Now they’re trying again, bigger — with a team of engineers, researchers, and operators obsessed with closing the gap between a question and a real-world answer.
